Why we created a résumé for

Strategically posted on the eve of April Fools Day.   

As more “digital co-workers” powered by artificial intelligence join the workforce, we’ve wondered whether software like might soon be ‘employed’ (or discovered) via recruiting channels vs. traditional software distribution channels.  Will Monster, Indeed, Hired and Dice add an Artificial Intelligence category? After all, technologies like AI are more and more being implemented in work environments to handle rote and repetitive tasks better suited for machines, to free human counterparts to focus on higher-value work.

Below are some typical qualifications found for an open customer service representative role posted on one such site:

  • Excellent written skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Speed/accuracy related to data entry/typing
  • Ability to research and resolve inquiries
  • Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex documents
  • Ability to be self-driven
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and assignments
  • Strong ability to multi-task and navigate through multiple systems
  • Collaborative approach to people, flexibility, and responsiveness.
  • Excellent fluency in language
